When your body becomes your teacher

Discover why the rabbit knows something we forgot about healing

6min Read | Watch | Listen

Hey there Visionaries!

This week I dove headfirst into something that completely flipped how I think about healing.

And honestly, it left me questioning everything I thought I knew about processing trauma.

So check this out: A rabbit barely escapes a hawk's talons, darts to safety, then does something wild.

It doesn't immediately hop back into the field or start planning anti-hawk strategies.

Instead, it trembles. Shakes. Lets its body do what it needs to do.

An hour later? Back in the field like nothing happened.

Meanwhile, us humans? We'd still be overthinking that hawk situation six months later.

Why You Should Give All the Cares:

  • Body Wisdom Revolution: Learn why your body might be smarter than your mind when it comes to healing

  • Beyond The Matrix Expert: Meet Daniel Rosenberg, the somatic coach who's changing how we process stuck energy

  • AI Game Changer: Nano Banana just made graphic designers sweat (in the best way)

The Rabbit's Secret: What Somatic Healing Actually Is

This week I got my first taste of working with Daniel Rosenberg from Wild Soul Counseling, one of our Beyond The Matrix experts.

Somatic healing is all about what your body experiences, not what your brain thinks about it.

And this is where things got real for me.

As someone who's wired to overthink everything (sound familiar?), my go-to move is always the same: analyze, organize, strategize my way out of whatever I'm feeling.

But Daniel had me try something completely different.

Just watch. No mental gymnastics. No instant fixes.

Let my body guide me back to moments from my childhood and see what wants to come up naturally.

The result?

I connected with stuck patterns that years of thinking never touched.

Turns out, sometimes the smartest thing you can do is get out of your own head.

Beyond The Matrix: Building Real Community That Actually Works

Speaking of experts, I had one heck of a conversation with John Bush this week.

This dude has been fighting the good fight for decades.

John Bush From Live Free Academy

His take on building resilient communities away from crumbling cities? Pure fire.

We talked about his shift from traditional activism to something way more practical: focusing on individual change that creates real ripple effects.

No more waiting for politicians to save us.

No more hoping the system fixes itself.

Just people helping people, starting small, building strong.

The conversation reminded me exactly why our mutual aid group exists.

Real change doesn't trickle down. It bubbles up from regular folks who give a damn.

DJ Life: When You Stop Performing and Start Flowing

Over the weekend, I got to do what makes me feel most alive: spinning tracks at the park with Willdabeast.

Usually, this guy normally drops bass so heavy it'll rearrange your molecular structure.

But he's been shifting gears lately. More meditation, more introspection. (Having another kid on the way will do that to you.)

So he played his first-ever chill set.

Chilldabeast in action

Our styles meshed perfectly.

Families everywhere. Sunset painting the sky. And I dropped my most conscious playlist — the kind of hip-hop that lifts your frequency instead of numbing it.

The vibe was so thick you could cut it with a knife.

People kept walking up telling me they could literally feel the energy shift.

That's what happens when you stop trying to impress people and start expressing who you actually are.

Full mix will be played during SoundPath Hybrid Music event this this Labor Day. weekend. Live stream it here.

Watch the live stream Friday!

Tech Corner: Nano Banana Just Made Photoshop Sweat

Let go of what you think you know about AI image generation.

Google just dropped Gemini Flash 2.5, but I'm calling it Nano Banana because that name is what sticks.

This thing is being called the "Photoshop killer" and I'm starting to believe the hype.

It keeps your uploaded images intact while following prompts to insane levels of detail.

Want proof? I tested it with my wife's clothing designs and my brain melted.

And just like that, first time preserving the complex weaves on the clothing

Here's what makes this thing different:

  • Keeps original image quality while making edits

  • Handles text like it went to design school

  • Fixes old photos and adds color

  • Mixes multiple images without breaking a sweat

  • Costs basically nothing (free through Google AI Studio)

Artists might be freaking out, but this is just another tool to get creative with.

Want more tech talk? I'm thinking of starting a new newsletter this winter just focusing on all the AI and tech developments. Give me a shout out if you would want to get that in your inbox each week.

Today’s Takeaways:

  1. Trust Your Body's Wisdom: Sometimes healing happens when you stop thinking and start feeling

  2. Community Starts Small: Real change begins with individual transformation and grows outward

  3. Flow Over Force: Whether DJing or healing, authentic expression beats performance every time

  4. AI as Creative Partner: Tools like Nano Banana expand possibility rather than replace creativity

Alright, that's a wrap for this week's wild ride.

Now go do something that makes your body smile instead of your mind work overtime.

Your nervous system will thank you for it.

Stay grounded and keep flowing,
