Ever feel like you're just going through the motions, wondering what the hell you're meant to be doing with your life?
Twelve years ago, I was there—but way deeper in the hole.
At 33, I emerged from a drug fog that would've made Hunter S. Thompson do a double-take.
No clue what I wanted to do, the emotional and mental development of a 16-year-old, and zero direction.
But here's the wild part: That rock bottom became my launching pad.
Today, I'm writing to you from my 10-acre homestead, where I live with my beautiful family, run multiple successful businesses, and help others find their path through the chaos. Talk about a plot twist, right?
Stuck in Someone Else's Movie?
Most people never become the main character in their own life story.
Instead, they:
Wake up to an alarm they hate
Drag themselves to a job that drains them
Support OTHER people's dreams and businesses
Collapse at the end of the day with just enough energy to scroll mindlessly
Rinse and repeat until retirement (which is a trap too)
Sound familiar? That was me for YEARS. I was the king of helping other people build their empires while my own life was a dumpster fire of addiction, scarcity thinking, and that nagging feeling I'd never be enough.

The Mental Cages We Build
Here's the mind-bender: Most of the limitations keeping you stuck aren't even REAL.
My biggest cages were:
"I'll never be skilled enough to support myself"
"People like me (from government cheese backgrounds) don't get to have amazing lives"
"I've made too many mistakes to turn things around"
These stories were on repeat in my head 24/7. And guess what they created? Exactly the life you'd expect: broke, unfulfilled, and watching other people live the dream.
Everything changed when I asked myself a simple question:
"Who exactly is giving me permission to reinvent myself?"
The answer hit me like a freight train: NOBODY. Because nobody needed to.
I didn't need:
A fancy degree
An impressive background
Someone to hand-pick me for success
The "right connections"
I just needed to decide the old version of me wasn't my final form.
You 2.0: The Ultimate Cheat Code
This is where the concept of "You 2.0" changed everything for me.
Instead of trying to fix the broken version of myself (good luck with that mess!), I started designing the NEW version I wanted to become.
Think about it like this. Would you rather:
Spend years debugging a glitchy, outdated program
ORBuild a brand new, upgraded version from the ground up
The second option isn't just easier—it's way more fun. Here's the thing: When you clearly envision your 2.0 self, your brain starts firing in ways that make that version REAL.
From Drug Fog to 10 Acres of Freedom
Flash forward to today: I'm living on 10 gorgeous acres with my wife and 7-year-old daughter. Our mutual aid group is thriving (just today, we had 8 people helping a member prep their house for sale). My best friends are moving five houses away, creating the community I've always dreamed of.

My AI consulting business is crushing it, helping small businesses leverage technology in ways they never thought possible. And my bank account? Let's just say we've come a LONG way from the days when I had $200 to my name and collection calls blowing up my phone.

You are a Character Development Coach guiding me in creating my "You 2.0" version. Help me define a new identity capable of reaching my highest goals.
Ask me each question one at a time, waiting for my response before moving forward:
What 5 key traits will define my new character?
What 5 traits should this character be free from?
What strengths will this version have that my current self lacks?
What past narratives should no longer define me?
Describe a typical day for this character when fully focused on success.
How does this character think and feel upon waking?
How do they present themselves in appearance, energy, and presence?
How do they handle stressful or complex situations?
What would others say about them behind closed doors?
What is their legacy?
If they were an animal, which would they be and why?
Once I’ve answered, synthesize everything into a 1-page character definition that is inspiring, actionable, and easy to revisit daily.
This isn't just some feel-good exercise.
This is the exact process I used to break free from mental cages that had me locked up tighter than Alcatraz – but now with the added superpower of AI to pull insights you might not have accessed on your own.
